John 21:16

Our Ministries

St. George's Clothing Ministry. We aim to meet a need in our community to allow people to come and get clothes as they need them. (see photos on right.)

The hours of the Clothing Closet are Tuesday and Wednesday 10 am to 3 pm. We rely on donations to keep running, so if you have any clothes you would like to donate please bring them by when the Closet is open. This is also a volunteer ministry so we would love for you to be a part of this ministry if God is calling you to it.

We partner with MOSAIC to provide a safe space for fellowship for their client base in the Macomb area.

Mosaic provides a life of possibilities for people with intellectual disabilities. We help people define their own happiness. We support them and empower the pursuit of their goals. We celebrate their successes, even if that success is as simple as the pursuit itself.

We partner with CASA to provide spiritual support and a safe space for child supervised visitations and other activities.
CASA's goal is to protect and uphold the rights of children when wrongs have been committed against them, to help abused or neglected children have safe permanent homes where they can thrive, to act as a powerful voice in these children's best interests and to educate the public about the plight of abused children.

We partner with various local charities to serve the less fortunate among our community.
We help and support the local food pantry, Loaves and Fishes".  We take surplus clothing from the local thrift shop and give them to Anglican Charities and other charities for distribution to those in great need in this area.  We also collected coats and blankets for charity organization in Rock Island, IL.

Lego Builders Club.  St George's provides a safe place for God's children to celebrate life and share Jesus' transforming love through Lego building.
Each gathering has a biblical theme and begins with scripture reflection and prayer.  Participants work in small groups to build something inspirational in line with the theme.  They share their stories about their creations.  It's a powerful way to share the transforming love of Jesus.

Prayer and Community Service
We do a monthly Prayer Walk around the town square praying for the people of the community and organizations such as, education, government, health care and businesses.  Fr Dave is available for prayer and pastoral needs of the downtown community.

Men's Group
The men of the church meet for fellowship, prayer, theology Q&A and breakfast at Louie's Diner on the Square every Saturday at 9:00 a.m.
